Strange Process ("We," "Us," or "Our") operates the Video Painter software application. We are committed to protecting Your privacy and complying with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy legislation.

Personal Information (PI): Any information about an identifiable individual (e.g., name, email, license key, device ID).

Device Identifiers: Device fingerprint or hardware ID.
Validation Data: IP address used for license validation.
Crash Reports: macOS system-generated crash reports (if crashes occur).

3. PURPOSE OF COLLECTION (Identifying Purposes)

We collect and use Your Personal Information for the following explicit purposes:

License Validation: To authenticate Your license key and confirm its validity, which requires an Internet connection.
Device Management: To enforce the two (2) device limit by tracking device fingerprints.
Support and Communication: To respond to Your support, or licensing inquiries.
Internal Analysis: To analyze crash reports to improve Software stability.
Billing and Payment: To process Your payment via our third-party provider, Lemon Squeezy (We do not store full payment card details).

4. CONSENT

By purchasing, downloading, and installing the Software, You are providing consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of Your Personal Information as described in this Policy.

5. DISCLOSURE AND SHARING (Limiting Disclosure)

We will not sell or rent Your Personal Information. We may disclose PI only in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers: To third-party service providers (like payment processors and license validation APIs, e.g., Lemon Squeezy) for the purpose of enabling them to provide their services.
